You Are Special & Published Card

Hello everyone! I stopping in to share this fun little card I shared over at The Aviary a few days ago for this weeks Tutorial Tuesday Post.

I shared a quick little tutorial on how to create these vellum dragonfly wings. You can check out my tutorial HERE. I was so busy last month that I never got around to sharing the card that I had published in Northridge Publishing CARDS March 2014 issue. So I thought I would share that today as well.

It had been awhile, like two years since I had last submitted any projects for publication but I began submitting again last year. As you can imagine I was super excited to have my very first card published in CARDS! I also created and shared lots of cards and layouts for Paper Wings Productions and Nani Ke Ola last month that I never got around to posting here so I will be sharing them in a few days as well. Thanks for visiting!

PWP March Blog Hop- Celebrate

Hello everyone and Welcome to Paper Wing Production's CELEBRATE Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway! If you've arrived here from Norma's Blog, then you're in the right place.  If you’re just stopping by for a visit, please click HERE to start from the beginning.

This month we are CELEBRATING the two year anniversary of Paper Wings Productions and we invite you to join us!!  Get comfortable and prepare to be inspired by our design team and special guest designers, enjoy the hop!!

I decided to create two different cards for this months blog hop...it is a celebration after all. The first card I'm sharing is this very bright watercolored card I created with Paper Wings Productions Hanging Stars Clear Stamp Set, some CTMH ink refills and some water.

I started by misting a white piece of cardstock with some water. While the cardstock was still wet I dropped a few drops of colored ink onto the cardstock and sprayed it with some more water. After my cardstock had dried I randomly embossed a few hearts in yellow embossing powder.  The next card I have to share I created with Paper Wings Productions Celebrate Clear Stamp Set, some patterned paper, some ink, a colorful brad, and some thread.

I had lots of fun with this one. I added a cute little banner with a brad to the top right and I also  added some fringe to the bottom of my sentiment. All I did to create the fringe was add a piece of patterned paper to the bottom of my white cardstock where I stamped my sentiment making sure to leave it big enough to randomly cut slits in to it. You can see a close up of the fringe below! Make sure to hop along and leave a few comments along the way because this months main prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions online store.
